Have pity on me

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 30, 2009, 4:23 PM
I cockled and crushed the paper, including some of the printing, when making this scan of Kennerley Bold, only minutes after receiving it: pics.livejournal.com/chemoelec…

Fortunately these characters were barely outside of the damaged area.

(This sort of thing is hard for me. Before being treated for obsessive-compulsive disorder I wouldn't have risked it, and would be too busy anyway poring through my computer and my wife's in search of obscure rootkits and writing access control configurations for hardened kernels. I'd probably also be sweating and pacing and bugging my wife on the question of whether to purchase the specimen.)

Thank you. :)

Fortunately the big specimen books are printed on coated paper that is hard to damage (but which is very painful for me to lift in the case of the gigantic old ATF catalogs of 1912 and 1923).
