I notice there are users who assume that other users, who complain when a new dA version comes out, eventually get used to the new version. What one ought to realize is that there are such things as the Greasemonkey and Stylish extensions to Firefox, and what happens is that people start using them and a cottage industry forms in the production of scripts for these extensions. So it ends up that people aren't always getting used to the changes, but simply doing away with them in the ugliest, but necessary way.
Since the change from V5 to V6, I had to learn how to write such scripts just to keep on using dA. Raw V6 and V7 are close to unusable for me, just on account of there being far too many prominent visual elements. Most of my own modifications are simply to tone down everything except the words and pictures that I am supposed to be able to see.
